How I Served Martin Luther King Jr.

I served MLK by helping my mom clean the house.  But instead of my normal chores, I helped do other things without being asked.  Like making my bed in the morning when I get, or instead of playing, I clean my room.  I still do things for fun though, like watching TV.  You don’t have to use the whole day for service.  But at least help others like your parents, friends, or people that you don’t even know.  Because MLK didn’t get a day off, it’s not honor unless do something in honor, kindness, loving, no fighting, and just peaceful protest.  Here are some things to do on MLK day: take out the trash, do the dishes, clean your room, or just say something kind to someone else.

The Midnight Ride

Minutemen are men ready to fight in under a minute; quickly ready.

In April 1775, Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott went house to house waking people up.

Danger is coming! Meanwhile, Revere came up with a plan-a friend will hang one lantern if the British went by land, two if by sea.

North church in Boston is where the lanterns were hung. Anyway, they hung two and choose sea.

In homes people were awoken and were warned that the British were coming!

Going by sea is faster,so that’s why they had signals-timing.

He kept eyes on the British.

The British are coming! was never actually said by Paul Revere.

Riding though Lexington to Con cord from Boston.

In all there mission was to warn people that they were under attack.

Dawes was the only one that made it to Concord.

Eventually, this event led to the Revolutionary War!
